Lexora Institute (“Lexora”, “we”, “us”) is a KHDA-licensed education centre at 7, 49th Street, Al Wasl Road (near Union Coop), Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit lexorainstitute.com, contact us, enrol in a course, or use our learning portal at lms.lexorainstitute.com. It also explains how we use that data and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other applicable laws. 01 Information we collect
We collect only what we need to answer enquiries, run lessons, and improve our services. This may include your name, email address, phone number, message content, student year group or subject interests, parent or guardian contact details, learning goals, learning needs you choose to share, booking history, attendance, coursework, assessment results, progress reports, invoice details, website usage details, and visitor sign-in information. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers. You do not have to give us personal data, but without contact details we cannot reply to you, and without student details we cannot place a learner in the right programme.
02 How we use your information
We use your information to reply to enquiries, arrange free assessments or trial lessons, deliver tutoring and language courses, track progress, report to parents, schedule lessons, invoice and collect fees, meet KHDA and other legal, tax and regulatory duties, keep students, staff and visitors safe, send course updates and event news when you agree, and measure website traffic after consent to non-essential cookies. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not make decisions about students using automated processing alone.
03 Children’s information
Many of our students are under 18. For these learners, we collect personal data from a parent or legal guardian, who gives consent on the child’s behalf at enrolment. We use a student’s information only to teach, support and report on their learning. Student photos, videos or names appear in our marketing only with the parent’s or guardian’s separate written consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. If you believe a child has sent us personal data without a guardian’s consent, contact us and we will delete it.
04 Cookies, analytics and advertising
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Essential cookies keep the site and learning portal working and secure. Analytics cookies count visits and show which pages are useful, using aggregated data. Advertising cookies measure ad results and show our ads to people who visited our site. We set analytics and advertising cookies only after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time, block cookies in your browser settings, or adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook, Instagram and Google account settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working. Our contact page shows an embedded Google Map, which lets Google collect data under its own privacy policy when the map loads.
05 Who we share information with
We share personal data only when needed, and only with service providers that host our website and learning portal, send messages, process payments, provide analytics or run advertising; Meta and Google when you submit an ad lead form or accept advertising cookies; WhatsApp when you choose to message us there; our marketing agency; KHDA and other authorities where the law requires it; and professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers. Some providers store data outside the UAE. When data leaves the UAE, we transfer it only where the law allows, for example to countries with adequate protection or under contractual safeguards.
06 How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and leads that do not lead to enrolment for up to 12 months from last contact. Student and enrolment records are retained for the length of enrolment, or longer if KHDA or UAE law requires. Invoices and payment records are kept as long as UAE tax and commercial law requires. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. When we no longer need data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
07 How we protect it
We use access controls, password-protected systems, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and staff confidentiality duties to protect personal data. Only staff who need student information to teach or run the centre can see it. No system is completely secure, so if a breach puts your data at risk, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
08 Your rights
Under UAE law, you can ask us to give you a copy of personal data we hold about you or your child; correct data that is wrong or incomplete; delete data where we have no legal reason to keep it; restrict or stop certain uses; send data to you or another provider in a usable format; or withdraw consent given earlier. To make a request, email info@lexorainstitute.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our reply, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
09 Marketing messages
We send offers and news only if you agree. Each email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any SMS or WhatsApp message, or email us, to opt out.
10 Links to other sites
Our website links to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Google Maps. These services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
11 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and tell enrolled families by email about significant changes.
